PT KIDECO Jaya Agung (KIDECO) explores, develops and produces coal in the Paser area in East Kalimantan. KIDECO was awarded the coal mining concession in the Paser area under a Coal Contract of Work (CCOW) executed in 1982.

The concession covers a period of 30 years from March 1993 when commercial production first began.

KIDECO was incorporated as a limited liability company in September 1982 under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

KIDECO is the third largest coal company in Indonesia in terms of coal production with a substantial reserve base of approximately 1 billion tons. KIDECO produced 22 million tons of coal in 2008, accounting for more than 11% of total coal production in Indonesia.
